Hello Painters! For the next 2 weeks we will be working on still life paintings. You will set up a still life of AT LEAST 6 objects that are meaningful to you. Please look at the powerpoint posted below, and choose which style of still life you want to create. If you choose "traditional style" you can find tips for setting up your still life in the YouTube video below. Those that were in class on Friday were able to check out materials to complete their paintings at home.
If you WERE NOT in class Friday: If you have access to acrylic or watercolor paint, that's great! If not, colored pencil will also be acceptable. Your still life should be as large as you can make it, on the heaviest paper you have. If you have canvas for acrylic, that's even better. The size provided for watercolor was 12x18, and acrylic was 16x20.
TO ALL: We are working under very interesting circumstances! Fortunately, even if you don't have supplies, you do have TIME. We use 2 weeks or more in class to produce paintings, and so I hope and expect you to still put forth that effort. Send me at least one picture of your progress by Friday, March 20 at 8 pm. I will provide feedback for you going forward. You are welcome to send me more than one picture and ask for feedback any time. [email protected]
