Hello artists! I have really been enjoying the 1 point and 2 point perspective drawings you have been submitting. We will start submitting drawings on Schoology. The join code for your class is listed below. That way I can better keep track of who has submitted their work on time. This week we will start learning about shading to make things look 3 dimensional. We'll start with shading very basic forms. I am attaching 2 worksheets, although I realize that some of you may not be able to print them. If that is the case, I want you to redraw the shapes provided on the sheet and complete the shading lesson that way. You should only need a pencil, eraser, and paper again this week. You may want to use shapes to trace or a straight-edge (ruler) if you cannot print the sheets. By Friday, you should have shaded 8 different geometric shapes using a full range of value. Your shapes should show a "cast shadow", a highlight, midtone, shadow, and reflective highlight. The video below explains all of those parts. When you have completed your 8 shapes, snap a picture and upload it to the Shading Shapes assignment on Schoology.
